Description
ANCIENT GREEK MYTH
As children, Cassandra and her twin brother Helenus fell asleep in a temple of Apollo, while their parents (King Priam and Queen Hecuba) participated in the rites. The sacred snakes, kept in the temple, licked the ears of the sleeping children. Upon seeing this, Hecuba screamed and the reptiles fled.
However, since these were sacred to Apollo, the God granted the children the gift of prophecy.
Snake shaped earrings made from a weave of 10 wires. The long earring is worn by tucking the snake’s tail into the small ring earring and hooking it onto the ear cartilage (no hole required). Both earrings have butterfly clasps
The jewels of the collection MITI are inspired by mythical characters or events.
