Description

The pendant is inspired by a pattern portrayed on a shield from the Trobriand Islands, in New Guinea. The shield was employed in battles and, for this reason, it was object of a specific liturgy which had the aim of raising its power, in the wider context of the warlike propitiatory rites. The patterns portrayed on it designated the shields used by the worthiest warriors.

The jewels of the collection GIRAMONDO are inspired by pieces of ethnic art or by details contained in them.
